We took a one-day trip from Burgas (35kms) and visited this nice town, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. I agree, because it’s a picturesque town located on an island. It’s about 850m long and 350m wide. The Old Town consists of 100 traditional stone and wooden houses. They were built in 18-19th century. We were strolling in the narrow, cobbled streets and saw nice buildings, many shops and cafes. It’s a must-see site in Bulgaria.

Patriarchal cathedral of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church in Sofia. Church monument of Saint Alexander Nevsky. It was built in 1908 and dedicated to Saint Alexander Nevsky and the Russian soldiers who died in the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878 in honor of the liberation from the Turks after which Bulgaria gained statehood from the Ottoman Empire, but not full independence

Lots of food and drink options that were super cheap! Only thing I could never get over was all the enclosed boxes for restaurants that were filled with people smoking, avoided them at all costs. To avoid this I just kept to the actual indoor restaurants.

Wonderful place! We spent a pleasant time with many positive emotions, games and a guided walk. The staff is very positive, kind and supportive. We learned a lot in a very interesting way, made souvenir coins, we shot arrows with a bow and many other pleasant experiences. I strongly recommend. It's also suitable for weddings :)

After exploring the great city of Sofia, I needed to be outside in nature. Twenty minutes by car later, I enjoyed walking at the base. An extra plus was visiting during Spring where everything was lush and vibrant. My escape was a nice break from the capital.

The great pride of Veliko Tarnovo and the whole of Bulgaria is Tsarevets. Rich history and national pride. Located on the hill of the same name in Veliki Trnovo. On this occasion, we would like to thank the tourist guide Nikol Ivanova, who explained everything to us with a lot of knowledge and guided us around the fortress.

This is an amazing water park
We stayed at the hotel for 11 nighst, so we got free daily access.
I can't tell you the standard entry price, so I do not know if it is expensive or worth it.

But the park is perfect for all ages.
Our boys are both 9, so some rides were too much for them. But not for me.
    We all loved the park.

Enough pools to play, sunbeds to relax.
Yes the park is busy and you have to queue, but the rides are well worth it

Some rides like king cobra and space shuttle, longer queues but great for my lads. At 9 they can not go on Dragero and looping Rockets. Have to be 12 and the life guards were strict. Height and weight requirements as well.

Kamikaze and free fall were great fun.
100% queue up for the surf sim

Food in the park is good.
Not just deep fat fryer, salads, and loads of other options

    The bar is expensive
    Soft drinks arent

This little church is hidden away behind the presidential palace and is easy to walk by when you are in the area. Good for a few minutes to look at mainly because of the strange setting

It is a very small building with an even smaller area of interest. Maximum 10 persons at the time are allowed and there is a no photo policy inside. IT is still a very nice visit just to be able to see this very, very old frescoes. This place was inscibed already 1979 which make it one of the oldest World Heritage Sites proclaimed.
