The Old Town Kotor, but it was attested from 168 BC.
We can admire the Venetian-style palaces of the rich merchant families, as well as the cathedral and other old churches.
Restaurants and cafes are well represented, as well as souvenir shops.
Also, I recommend a walk here.

Omgggg this was the most stunning and gorgeous place of all in the whole of Balkans that I've visited! If you've been hesitating stop doing so and head over there - you'll not regret it!

The city of Kotor itself is alive with tourists and look similar to Venice - narrow walkways and alley with buildings that are the homes of locals still on both sides. Apart from that, no other similarities with Venice! Not overly touristy.

Imo - it is 10x MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN VENICE.

It is located on a bay so it faces the ocean, and the backdrop are mountains- incredibly stunning.
It is a city of cats too, and they're all friendly as they're well socialised, well fed.

Good if you can stay here for a few nights so you can explore the town, nooks and crannies as well as take a trek up the hill as there is a beautiful church up there.

Fantastic hike to the top, with so much to look at on the way. Views all the way up were phenomenal, as with the rich history of the place. You do need decent mobility to get up as the path and stairs are uneven and, when we went up, slippery. It took us about 3 hours up and back with 2 young kids (5 & 7).

Arriving in Budva, an ancient city (2500 years old) you have something to see.
The old city is surrounded by massive walls. Entering the fortress you can admire the narrow streets with old palaces and churches.
Of course, don't miss the square of the poets, The ruins of an ancient church with the fountain.
I recommend warmly a walk in this wonderful old town.

I highly suggest visiting in November or at the start of March during a rainy period - in that case, you can see various streams and currents running through the cave - giving the idea of how various stalactites and stalagmites were formed over the years.

The story is that two brothers who were fishermen saw a picture of Mary and baby Jesus on a rock floating in the sea. They rescued the picture and took it to their home. Soon after one of the brothers who was sick was cured. They then decided to build a church where the painting had been found. But first they needed to build an island. So each time they went out on their fishing boat, they dropped a rock in the spot. The tale spread and other sailors did the same. It took over 200 years and the brothers had long passed away but an island was finally created and the church was built on the rock. The picture that had been found, was placed in the church and is still there today behind the beautiful altar. As sailors stopped by, they left a silver plate for a safe journey and those silver plates still decorate the church. The church is very beautiful especially the altar and the ceiling which is filled with paintings. The museum is upstairs. There is a portrait upstairs of Mary and Jesus embroidered by a captain’s wife with very fine needlepoint. She used her own hair to embroider the angel’s hair. It took her many years to finish the portrait and one can see her original black hair that was used and then her grey hair. There are also quite a few other items upstairs such as pottery, dishes, rifles, pots and pans, and such. You also can take some pretty nice pictures of the little town of Perast from the window. All in all, this is well worth the visit and I would visit Our Lady of the Rock again.

The tour guide said there are 1400 steps to the top. I didn’t count the steps, but it could easily have been 1400, there were a lot of steps. You pretty much need to walk the steps, as the ground is covered in large rocks that are difficult to walk on. You need to pay to walk up. I don’t recall how much, but I think less than 10 euros. The guy at the kiosk also takes credit cards. You also need to save your receipt as it is checked again on the way down – and if you do not have it, you need to pay again. You first reach an old church which was not open when we were there. You then pass ruins from the lower fortress. Go around to the right to find the stairs to continue walking up. You will then reach the second set of ruins. Continue some more to reach the top. When we were there, there was someone who apparently lugged a cooler with soft drinks, juice, and water to the top and was selling them. The views from the top are as amazing as you’d expect them to be. But if you can’t make it the entire way to the top, the views are wonderful all along the intermediate points as well. Be sure to wear good shoes and you really should bring enough water. We enjoyed the hike up and would do it again.

Porto Montenegro is one of the most beautiful and luxurious resorts on the Montenegrin coast. It is pleasantly located in Tivat on the coast. It has a marina and countless luxury restaurants and cafes. Hotel Regent will delight you with its comfortable accommodation, friendly staff and varied cuisine. All recommendations, if you are coming to Montenegro, do not allow yourself to not visit this xresort!
